The Orlando Magic White put in another impressive performance defeating the Charlotte Hornets with a team effort to take first place at Summer League.

Once again, the Orlando Magic White team looked like a more hungry and focused team than their opponent. That might be half the battle in Summer League.

However, the more you watch this team, the more the little things tend to stand out. This is a roster without a clear-cut scorer or much selfishness. They move the ball well on offense, attack when the opportunity is there. More importantly, they swarm and play aggressively on defense.

There seems little doubt this group of cast-offs, free agents, D-Leaguers and other belittling words for guys not in the NBA are the best group here.

Certainly players like Keith Appling, Scottie Wilbekin and Chris Singleton will earn continued looks as training camps approach. They have all played well with Melvin Ejim and Keith Benson shining in moments too.

It is hard to parse out any great individuals, but there are guys who are finding ways to fill roles and taking advantage of a great opportunity this week.

Another solid win — 81-68 over the Hornets — shows just what a good team performance can do for some individuals in this setting.
