Orlando Magic Player Evaluations: Evan Fournier
By Zach Palmer
Best Game of 2014-2015
Nov. 12 @ Knicks
28 pts., 8/14 FGs, 10/14 FTs, 2/4 3P, 4 stls., 2 assts., 2 rebs.
This was easily Fournier’s best game of the season.
Fournier came out early and put 15 points up in the first quarter against the Knicks. Fournier tortured Iman Shumpert which caused Knicks fans to throw him and every other Knicks player under the bus before the fan base finally came to the conclusion their team was terrible. At this point though, beating the Knicks felt like a good win.
Fournier repeatedly attacked the rim, garnering a career-high in free-throw attempts and makes as well as scoring a career high in points. This was the game that really epitomized why Evan Fournier should handle the ball.
It also showed why Victor Oladipo and Evan Fournier struggle so badly to play with each other.
This game highlighted all of the strengths of Fournier’s game and proved exactly why the Magic should hang onto Fournier and develop him into the type of role player that good teams have.
