10) Brian Shaw
Brian Shaw is one of only two backups to grace the top-10. He was an effective combo guard off the bench for the Magic’s Finals run in 1995, and he complemented Penny Hardaway effectively because Shaw brought size to the position like Penny, being 6-foot-6
He may rank higher if not for quips with his shooting form, which was not a thing of beauty for a guy who jacked up so many jumpers.
Shaw’s ceiling was thought to be far higher when the Boston Celtics drafted him, but he had a strong career for a backup or borderline starter.
His career spanned 14 NBA seasons, three of which were spent with the Magic. He finished with career averages of 6.9 points and 4.2 assists per game. His best years were his first few in Boston and Miami, and he averaged 11 points and 4.6 assists in 11 playoff games for the 1990-91 Celtics.
