The Milwaukee Bucks thwarted a solid Orlando Magic effort with some strong late-game execution. Despite it all, the Magic had a good effort worth building.

The Orlando Magic and Milwaukee Bucks were tied at 91 with 2:18 to play in the fourth quarter. The Magic missed their shots, gave up an offensive rebound, committed an ill-timed foul and ended up giving up the final six points of the game.

It was hardly a pretty game, and Orlando gave itself a chance to win, but close is only good in horseshoes and hand grenades. In basketball, it comes down to making or missing shots and finishing the game. The Magic are still struggling with both of those late in games.

Considering the Magic got blown out by 32 points the previous night, the team’s effort was exactly where it needed to be and the Magic responded well. Still this loss counts the same as Tuesday night’s loss at the end of the day.

Let’s assess how the team did.
