Last Wednesday’s loss to the Heat really showed how precarious win streaks can be. A four-game win streak and another major confidence-building win was 40 seconds away. Who knows what would have happened if the Magic had won that emotional game at Amway Center.

That, of course, did not happen. Orlando fell apart in the final 40 seconds again and then lost to the Heat in overtime. There is a snake-bit feeling when the Magic build these late-game leads and lose them again. It is hard not to blame a team for letting a loss like that become two.

And then it becomes three. And then the Magic are back to struggling. It is certainly a sign of a young team. When does that young team grow up?
