4) The guards must keep attacking the rim.

Victor Oladipo has been relentless in going at the rim, while Elfrid Payton is getting really crafty with up and unders. Getting looks in the paint and drawing fouls is a key pillar in the monument of success, and the Magic are showing signs of improving there.

Evan Fournier in particular went right at the rim and it got him going. Fournier checked in at the 5:23 mark of the second quarter, and in his nine minutes on the court he scored eight points.

Evan went on to hit 7 of 14 and 2 of 5 from three-point range while also knocking down a pair of free throws to tally 18 points. Maurice Harkless did a better job of finishing and hit 3 of 7 from the floor.
