Wilson Chandler has two years remaining on his contract, but he would serve much the same role as Frye, a floor-stretching forward. The Magic may have to throw in either a protected first rounder here or an unprotected second round pick, but that is all in the details.

Chandler is kind of an unsung hero for Denver and wills a lot of wins.

It is maybe a bit much to expect the Nuggets to part with him, but Frye is adequate compensation for his services. Chandler plays big minutes (32 per game), averaging 14 points and six boards per game.

But he is inefficient (see: 11.9 PER) and while just entering his prime at age 27, he is clearly already reached his max-potential.

Losing Harris for a potential upgrade in Faried is not far fetched, and is indeed so plausible that it is easy to imagine the swap, especially depending on whether the Nuggets are close to blowing everything up and restarting that roster (Harris’ restricted free agency comes into play here as they make those plans).

Harris would thrive on a fast-paced Nuggets team, and his talents may further evolve on a team whose best scorer is a point guard in Ty Lawson’s 16 points per game. The need for Harris is there. So, it works for the Nuggets, as well.

And the Magic need Faried. But is this really realistic?  Let’s think shortly about why it is… very much so.
