Drew Garrison, SB Nation:

Golden State Warriors. 1. team. 41. . . Previous: 1st

26. team. 20. . . Previous: 26th. Los Angeles Lakers

. Previous: 22nd. Orlando Magic. 27. team. 38. The Magic are on a six-game losing streak and things aren’t getting any easier going forward. Chicago, Houston, Memphis, Oklahoma City and Detroit are next in line. The Magic’s next winnable game? Jan. 23 at Madison Square Garden.

. . Previous: 29th. Philadelphia 76ers. 28. team. 93

That schedule is certainly a reason to believe the Magic could be in for quite a few tough weks. A quick preview of the remaining games on this week’s schedule (all at home): Houston, Memphis and Oklahoma City. It is a tough run that the team is going to have to navigate.

The first two games in this stretch — a close loss at Portland and a win at Chicago — should provide some measure of hope that the tough schedule has snapped the Magic back into focus.
