The Magic can clearly trace some of their drop in the power rankings to Evan Fournier’s poor play coming off the bench and his streaky nature in general.

In Fournier’s last 10 games, he is averaging 11.6 points per game and is shooting 37.2 percent. More alarmingly, he is shooting 54.8 percent from the foul line.

Fournier’s move to the bench has been disastrous for him individually, even if the team has had some measured success. Fournier is still largely finishing games with the starting group. That does not mean his struggles go away. We all remember his YOLO 3-pointer that nearly tied the game against Brooklyn.
