The Chicago Bulls have spent their offseason trying to cut costs and focused on the prospect of bringing in Carmelo Anthony, but they may be sleeping on a quality combo guard in Hinrich. Hinrich has career averages of 11.8 points and 5.2 assists per game. Much like Billups, Hinrich is a true veteran, as he has 11 years of experience under his belt.

Signing Hinrich to a one year, $6 million deal could be beneficial in a number of ways. For one he provides leadership for a very young Magic backcourt. He is the hardnosed defensive type of player that Hennigan covets, meaning he could be the perfect mentor for Elfrid Payton. He has always been one of the best professionals in the game, understanding how to take care of his body, and how to keep his mind in the right place. This is exactly the type of influence a young Magic team could truly benefit from.
