Five Point Guard Options for Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic have made a number of bold moves this offseason. From the surprising draft choice of Aaron Gordon, to the unexpected trade for Elfrid Payton, to parting ways with Arron Afflalo and Jameer Nelson, the Magic have been busy. And after signing veterans like Channing Frye and Ben Gordon, Rob Hennigan’s offseason moves are almost complete. While there have not been many reports, it seems almost inevitable the Magic will sign another point guard as Payton will be the only true floor general on the roster otherwise.

Hennigan laid down a lot of assets to acquire Payton, which points to the thought that he views the Louisiana-Lafayette product as his point guard of the future. With that said, it may take Payton a while to adjust to the NBA, especially coming out of a small school. Luckily for Hennigan, this free agent class is loaded with talent at that position.
