Magic to kick off 25 events in 25 days Monday

The Magic have announced the next event as part of the team's 25th Anniversary season.

Following up on the very successful OMYF Garage Sale a few weeks ago, the team announced plans for 25 events during the next 25 days beginning Monday. The events will include giveaways at Magic fan fests a TrueBlue Caravan at various sites around Central Florida with appearances from community ambassadors Nick Anderson, Bo Outlaw and mascot STUFF, and community events throughout the city.

The hallmark event will be a Papa John's pizza delivery from a Magic player, STUFF, Anderson and Outlaw on Saturday, Oct. 19. But there will be plenty of events to get excited for to throughout the next month. It caps off with opening night Nov. 1 against the Pelicans.

Here is the full list of events:

Magic Mondays (Oct. 7, Oct. 14) — the Orlando Magic prize patrol will drive around Orlando and Central Florida around lunch time and reward those they spot wearing Magic gear with Magic tickets, clothes, apparel, team gear and other prizes.

True Blue Rallies — The Magic will set up camp in several areas around Central Florida throughout October, giving fans the chance to meet with the Magic Dancers, community ambassadors Bo Outlaw and Nick Anderson and win Magic prizes such as tickets and Magic gear.

The rallies will stop at several locations in Kissimmee on Oct. 8, in Tampa on Oct. 13, in Lake Mary on Oct. 16, in Melbourne on Oct. 17 and in West Orlando/Dr. Phillips area on Oct. 22.

FanFest in Jacksonville (Oct. 9) — Prior to the Magic's preseason opener against the Pelicans in Jacksonville, the team will have its normal FanFest activities outside the Veteran's Memorial Arena in Jacksonville beginning at 5:30 p.m. up until tip off at 7 p.m.

Florida Blue Baskets for Books Reading Corners (Oct. 10) — The Magic will build 25 reading corners around Central Florida.

Social Media Contest (Oct. 11, Oct. 18) — at 5:30 p.m. at Amway Center, the Magic will hold a contest at the team's FanFest before the Magic's game against the Cavaliers on Oct. 11 and the Grizzlies on Oct. 18 for a pair of tickets to that night's game and the season opener against the Pelicans.

Magic Open House (Oct. 12) — The Magic will hold an Open House giving fans an opportunity to view and select seats for season tickets, meet the team, take pictures with STUFF and participate in a Magic Dancers dance clinic. The open house takes place from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m.

Quill Educator of the Month (Oct. 15) — The Magic will participate in recognizing six educators in the Central Florida area as the Educator of the Month. The Magic will present them with a $500 check toward school supplies.

Papa John's Pizza Delivery (Oct. 19) — STUFF, the Magic Dancers and a Magic player will take the order of and deliver a Papa John's pizza to a few lucky fans.

Pink in the Paint (Oct. 20) — Fans can purchase a ticket to the Magic-Pistons game and part of the proceeds from the sale will go to funding free mamograms to underserved and uninsured woman as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Input special offer code: Pink to take advantage of this opportunity.

Habitat for Humanity Key Exchanged (Oct. 21) — The Magic will partner with Habitat for Humanity for a home dedication and key presentation to a new home for a Central Florida family.

OMYF Open (Oct. 24) — The Orlando Magic Youth Foundation holds its annual golf tournament at The Villas of Grand Cypress Golf Resort. You can sign up or donate at the OMYF Open's Web site.

25 Magical Wishes (Oct. 25) — The Magic will kick off their 25 Magical Wishes during the preseason matchup with the Pelicans at Amway Center. The Magic will grant 25 wishs for local youth in Central Florida who have or are suffering from life-threatening medical conditions. The grantees will also be at the game for a VIP experience.

UCF Football Tailgate Takeover (Oct. 26) — The Magic RV will set up shop at Brighthouse Networks Stadium for the UCF-Connecticut football game. Bo Outlaw, STUFF, Nick Anderson and the Magic Dancers will be on hand before the game.

Festival Calle Orange (Oct. 27) — The Magic will participate in Festival Calle Orange in Downtown Orlando.

STUFF's 3-Point Play Kickoff (Oct. 28) — STUFF's community effort directed toward elementary school students kicks off with STUFF launching his show teaching students about the three keys to being a great student — eating healthy, exercising and education.

Taco Tuesday @ Wall Street (Oct. 29) — The Magic RV and Magic personalities will be at Wall Street beginning at 9 p.m. (probably after the Magic game) for giveaways, a dance contest and ticket giveaways.

FOX Sports Florida Watch Part (Oct. 30) — The Magic will host a watch party for the Magic-Timberwolves game at Harry Buffalo on Church Street. FOX Sports Florida and 580ESPN Radio personalities will be there for the festivities.

Halloween Costume Giveaway (Oct. 31) — The Magic will hold a Halloween Costume Contest at the Magic Team Shop at Amway Center from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. There will be specials at the Magic Team Shop as well.

It should be a fun month of activities from the Magic.
