Houston Rockets vs. OKC Thunder

The Story: Chandler Parsons and the Future of the Rockets

We all three are pretty much in agreement that the Rockets are in the phase one of what should be a contention run. The team revolves mostly around James Harden, but people aren’t taking enough notice of just how good Chandler Parsons is.

Dig also says the success of Omer Asik is almost no surprise to him, though agrees that the double-double production in his first season exceeded the expectations of even diehard Bulls fans who watched the Turkish center play behind Joakim Noah.

Now that Asik, Jeremy Lin, Chandler Parsons, and the Rockets plethora of players at the 4-spot (Donatas Motiejunas, Greg Smith, Terrence Jones and Thomas Robinson) are all first year starters in their first full time role as such.

And the Rockets won 45 games and are putting a scare into the Thunder. Parsons just put up 27 points, 10 assists and grabbed eight rebounds in Game 4, and all anyone is talking about is the games that Kevin Durant is having or the struggles of James Harden throughout this series. The Rockets are a team of unsung heroes, and they’re finally starting to be given their due. It will only grow in time.”
