"ORLANDO MAGIC’S 2011-12 REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULE RELEASEDHome opener at Amway Center scheduled for Monday, December 26 vs. HoustonOrlando hosts 2012 NBA All-Star Weekend February 24-26Orlando, FL — The National Basketball Association today released its 2011-12 regular season schedule. The Orlando Magic will open its 23rd season on Christmas Day (Sunday, December 25) at Oklahoma City. Tip-off is 8 p.m. The Magic will host their home opener on Monday, December 26 at Amway Center against Houston. Tip-off is 7 p.m.The best way for fans to guarantee seats for the 2011-12 campaign is by purchasing Orlando Magic season tickets. Season tickets, partial plans, group and single-game Amway Center suite rental opportunities are on sale now. Ticket highlights include: 2,500 seats priced $20 or less, 8,000 seats priced $40 or less and 9,000 seats priced $50 or under. The NBA and its teams will have more than one million tickets available to fans for $10 or less over the course of the season.The Magic will also hold their “Select-a-Seat” event at the Amway Center on Saturday, December 10 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase season tickets and partial plans, while choosing the best seat location. It will also be the only way to guarantee your seats before they go on sale to the general public. Single-game tickets will go on saleTuesday, December 13 at 10 a.m.For ticket information, log on to orlandomagic.com or call the Orlando Magic Box Office at 407-89-MAGIC.Orlando is expected to open training camp on October 9 at Amway Center. The entire NBA schedule can be found on the league’s official website: NBA.com.The 61st NBA All-Star Game will be played on Sunday, February 26 at Amway Center, which will also host the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge & Youth Jam on Friday, February 24 and NBA All-Star Saturday Night presented by State Farm on Saturday, February 25. NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas, the hugely successful interactive basketball celebration, will be held at the Orange County Convention Center.Orlando has 16 national television games scheduled. The Magic will appear once on ABC (February 19 @ Miami), nine times on ESPN and six times on TNT.The Magic’s local broadcast schedule will be released at a later date.Each NBA team will play a 66-game regular season: 33 home and 33 away. The Magic will play 48 games vs. the Eastern Conference (16 games vs. the Atlantic Division, 17 games vs. the Central Division and 15 games vs. the Southeast Division) and 18 games against the Western Conference (seven games vs. the Northwest Division, five games vs. the Pacific Division and six games vs. the Southwest Division).Orlando will play a total of 14 home games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday this season. The 2011-12 Magic schedule also features 19 back-to-back contests (38 games played on consecutive nights) and one back-to-back-to-back set (January 16 @ New York, January 17 vs. Charlotte, January 18 vs. San Antonio).Orlando will play four games in December (2 home, 2 away), 17 games in January (8 home, 9 away), 15 games in February (8 home, 7 away), 16 games in March (9 home, 7 away) and 14 games in April (6 home, 8 away).The Magic’s longest homestand is three games, which will occur four times (January 17-20, February 6-10 and 13-17, and March 19-23). Orlando’s longest road trip is five games, taking place February 19-29.Orlando closes the season on Thursday, April 26 @ Memphis.
