Apparently former Magic great Scott Skiles is no fan of Twitter

Just in time for the Magic-Bucks game tonight, we get this little nugget from former Orlando star and current Milwaukee coach Scott Skiles. Apparently Bucks forward Charlie Villenuava was busted for Twittering during halftime of Sunday’s win over the Celtics. Not only was it a classy move by Charlie, he also provided some excellent insight. “In da locker room, snuck to post my twitt. We’re playing the Celtics, tie ball game at da half. Coach wants more toughness. I gotta step up.” Skiles was less than impressed, telling reporters after practice on Tuesday: “We made a point to Charlie and the team that it’s nothing we ever want to happen again. You know, [we] don’t want to blow it out of proportion. But anything that gives the impression that we’re not serious and focused at all times is not the correct way we want to go about our business.” The punishment was undisclosed, and Villanueva is expected to play against the Magic tonight. He wasn’t exactly thrilled with having to comment about the incident either. “We’re talking about Twitter here,” Villanueva said. “We should be worried about Orlando.” I have a Twitter account, and I think OMD might be launching it’s own rather soon, but I have to admit, I’m not a big fan. What’s the point? Isn’t it just like your facebook status? What do you think? Would you tweet during halftime? Do you have a Twitter account?
