Reasons for hope

The Orlando Magic have had a long and tormented year. But there is always a silver lining.

The team’s young players have developed, and there are pieces in place for a promising future. A couple of key additions in the offseason and Orlando will be fighting for the postseason once again after a long and anxious six years hiatus.

The Magic have given the fans some hope. You just have to be willing to find it.

The team came out of the gates firing on all cylinders, beating the likes of San Antonio and Cleveland. Although injuries quickly halted that surge, we have seen glimpses from the team all season.

The early season Magic team who started 8-4 and blew out the Spurs is more indicative of what fans can expect in the near future. That is, instead of the 22-54 team today, whose fans are begging them to lose and tank for lottery ping-pong balls.

The pieces have not come together quite yet. There is still a lot more work that has to be done. These glimmers of hope come with plenty of frustration
