Brandon Knight

The Phoenix Suns have regressed quite a bit from their surprise season in 2014. Both Brandon Knight and Eric Bledsoe are scoring first point guards. To get both on the floor, Phoenix has elected to play Knight as the shooting guard in the past.

This season, coach Earl Watson has placed Knight in the sixth man role for second-year player Devin Booker starting at shooting guard. Because of Knight’s size at 6-foot-3, 189 pounds, he would be one of the smaller shooting guards in the NBA. Having Knight come in to spell Bledsoe gives the Suns bench a go-to scorer and keeps the offense in sync when Bledsoe is out.

Knight has been a starter for most of his career. The decision to move him to the bench, coupled with the Suns using a draft pick on point guard Tyler Ulis this offseason and the Suns getting off to a slow start might give them the opening to move Knight to fill other needs.

Knight can score points in bunches from all over the court. If the Orlando Magic were to acquire Brandon Knight they would have a scoring threat at point guard. The Magic need scoring options to help on the offensive end and Knight would fill that need.
