Again, the Hennigan extension is a formality. But it does show the Magic are confident that Hennigan’s plan is worth continuing to pursue.

The question is for how long?

Let’s start with hiring a new coach that can deliver the Magic to the next stage of the development and growth. For sure, Hennigan’s hire early this summer will shape his tenure and decide whether it can be considered a success. There is a lot riding on this.
