2017 Orlando Magic Season Review: 2017 Year End Orlando Magic Awards

The Orlando Magic had an up and down season as roster moves changed many roles. Though the season ended in disappointment, there are some individual awards to give out.

The Orlando Magic turned up the heat a little this past offseason and declared the Playoffs were the benchmark for a successful year.

Unfortunately, that goal was not met. Not even close.

The team struggled mightily at times suffering a number of blowout losses where they just looked disinterested. There is no wonder not one Magic player has been in the discussion for any of the NBA individual awards at any point this season.

In addition to the blowouts, the team had no games broadcast nationally, other than a handful of NBATV games. This does not help anyone’s argument to include the Magic for any award because not many have watched them play.

Thankfully, the local networks do a great job on their Orlando Magic coverage. There were some good performances and players worthy of some praise for their individual efforts. The Magic may not have done well as a whole, but as this rebuild continues we will look forward to these players contributing largely to the team’s success in one way or another.

So because the team will not receive any national attention here are a few awards to honor some great individual contributors for the Orlando Magic.
