Every NBA franchise has a leader that you can tie to the organization. This offseason, The Orlando Magic thought they had established who would be that marquee guy for them.

A bit less than the halfway mark of the regular NBA season, the Orlando Magic still have a lingering question from this past summer — who exactly is the team’s leader?

When the Magic elected to trade Victor Oladipo for Serge Ibaka the writing was on the wall. Team management wanted a new cornerstone for the franchise. They wanted new representation who could attract top free agent talent.

And, most importantly, they wanted to make the Playoffs.

As of now, the Magic have struggled to identify who would be the leader of the team. Every game it feels like a different Magic player is evolving and emerging as a potential leader. And the team is suffering some for it.

Over the summer, plenty of speculation roamed about who would guide the Orlando Magic into the playoffs. A much-expected destination.

After Magic management labeled this season as a playoffs-or-bust type of season, it is only fitting that the team anoint someone to lead them there.

But who exactly is capable of getting them to the next level and taking over as the team leader?
