With one game in the books for each of the Orlando Magic’s two Summer League teams, here is a look at some players to watch this week.

The Orlando Magic Summer League certainly lacks some of the sizzle of years past. The Magic do not have any draft picks to get a first look at or even returning rookies from last year to see how they have progressed. Domantas Sabonis was shipped off to Oklahoma City (and he is playing for Lithuania as they try to qualify for the Olympics this summer). Mario Hezonja is with Croatia for their Olympic Qualifying Tournament too.

There is not as much intrigue with the Magic Summer League roster now.

And with the Magic focusing on adding veterans to the team and filling up the roster fairly quickly, there is not much room for any of these young players to squeeze in.

There is always the chance they earn their way onto the team. They are not bad players. And Orlando has a D-League team in Erie to fill too. The Magic are always looking for young players to fill out training camp and keep in their system through the D-League.

And there are a few players with clear Magic connections that many people will certainly be intrigued in keeping around.

While the Magic’s Summer League team lacks that big draw attraction there are a few players to keep an eye on for the Magic. At least to keep around in Erie in case there is a roster opening or need to fill pretty quickly.

And the other thing to keep an eye on is the way the Magic play on offense and defense as the new coaching staff installs at least part of their offensive and defensive playbooks.

There will be a few names to keep an eye on throughout the week.
