The Orlando Magic can now turn their attention fully to their draft preparations. There are several players to examine and review before making a pick.

The NBA draft is where teams hope to take the next leap forward from the previous season. Whether it is stockpiling talent, increasing wins, entering the postseason or challenging for a world title, it all begins with the NBA Draft.

In 1992, the Orlando Magic struck gold winning the lottery and selecting NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal. In 1993, the Orlando Magic made headlines by winning the Draft Lottery a second consecutive year, selecting Chris Webber and trading him for Anfernee Hardaway, immediately changing the team’s future outlook.

The Magic failed to win the lottery this year or climb into the top three after three straight seasons with top-five picks. They remained at their predicted 11th selection. But they still have options at the back end of the Lottery.

The Magic have already interviewed a few prospects at the NBA Draft Combine and surely have formulated a list of potential options. Those players will be making their way into Orlando for workouts and interviews in the coming weeks ahead of the June 23rd NBA Draft.

The Orlando Magic will select 11th this year. Who should the Magic target with the 11th pick?

After the hiring of new head coach Frank Vogel to lead the new era of Magic basketball, the Magic made it known they intend to run more on offense and focus more on defense.

Let’s examine a few candidates that could hear their names called by the Orlando Magic come draft day.

Candidates will be evaluated based on the Orlando Magic team fit.
