It is tough to find the bright spots for the Orlando Magic in their embarrassing 107-98 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

107. 20. 98. 38. Final

The effort was not there tonight. The point guards could not muster up any positive plays. Aaron Gordon cooled down. Victor Oladipo and Evan Fournier heated up, but their defense was cool, at best.

Tonight just was not a good night for the Magic.

They were slow to loose balls, slow to rotate and slow to try and get open on offense.

These factors all contributed largely to in Orlando’s loss to the Lakers.

It would be unfair to pick out one point guard tonight. I almost went ahead and graded only point guards tonight, because I could have just spammed F on my keyboard and called it a night. But instead I will break down all of them in one grade.

Tonight, <a href=. 1. Orlando Magic. POINT GUARDS. F

B.
Here was your bright spot tonight. Victor Oladipo absolutely torched the Lakers from mid-range.

His defense was not the best it has been. But he still managed to be Orlando’s best perimeter defender.

He played under control and did not force shots as he is prone to do. Heck, with the way that Oladipo played under control and the point guards struggling, I would have considered him at point guard. I have said this before and I will say it again, you can never accuse Victor Oladipo of quitting on the team.
. SG. Orlando Magic. VICTOR OLADIPO

D-.
Safe to say that this was not Aaron Gordon’s best night. Gordon did not handle <a href=. PF. Orlando Magic. AARON GORDON

F.
The Magic second unit is awful. With that in mind, <a href=. SF. Orlando Magic. MARIO HEZONJA

15th West. LOS ANGELES LAKERS. B+.
The Los Angeles Lakers honestly did not play like a well-coached team tonight, but it did not matter.

The Lakers played with more energy, and they looked like they wanted to win. That is a heck of lot more than you can say for the Orlando Magic.

Julius Randle looked great and dominated Aaron Gordon. <a href=. 14-51
