Romero Osby returning to Magic’s Summer League team

Romero Osby announced on his Instagram account Wednesday night that he will be returning to play for the Orlando Magic in the Summer League in Orlando this July.

Osby played well at the Summer League after the Magic picked him in the second round in the 2013 Draft. He made the preseason roster, but could not beat out Solomon Jones for the final roster spot with the Magic.

Osby played most of the season with the Maine Red Claws, the D-League affiliate for the Boston Celtics. He averaged 16.2 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game in 12 games. He was about to get a call up to the Celtics according to some reports when he separated his shoulder and was out for the season. He has been rehabbing ever since but should be ready to go for Summer League in July.

Magic fans have kept cheering on Osby and many certainly want to see him back and given a chance to make the roster again.
