The Celtics stuck with a solid gameplan and hit some clutch shots as they defeated the Magic 76-67 with a strong fourth quarter. Orlando simply could not hit a shot when things began to matter most despite some stellar play from Elfrid Payton and his near triple double.
The Magic ended up shooting 37.3 percent from the floor and just 12 of 20 from the foul line. A large rebounding advantage from the first half was completely erased by the continued missed shots and 17 turnovers.
Payton though continued to be a bright spot for Orlando. He nearly recorded a triple double, scoring eight points to go with nine rebounds and 10 assists.
The Magic finished 2-2 heading into Friday’s Championship Day at the Summer League.
Victor Oladipo is sitting out today’s game.
