Trey Burke is on his way

Gregory Shamus/Getty Images/ZimbioTrey Burke will be making his way to Orlando.

Nick Baumgardner of MLive.com reports Burke has one workout and interview scheduled so far. That would be with the Orlando Magic. And so the next phase of the process for the Draft is set to begin.

It appears Burke will be among the first group of players who will be parading to Orlando as the team gets set to make its final evaluations and final interactions with the player before draft night.

Burke was not one of the players the Magic interviewed at the NBA Draft Combine. They did talk to Nerlens Noel and Ben McLemore, other candidates for the top spot in the Draft and certainly players the Magic will consider with the second pick, at the Draft Combine. One could assume that they will be making their way to Orlando before the June 27 Draft.

It has not been reported when Burke will be in Orlando. But it is coming soon. He probably will not be alone and it seems pretty likely he will be joined by other point guards. The Magic also reported interviewed guards Myck Kabongo and C.J. McCollum in Chicago.

Burke seems very aware the Magic could pick him. He told Mark Snyder of the Detroit Free Press he has heard he could be selected anywhere from two to six. Two is the Magic, six is the Hornets who could be looking for a long-term point guard solution after the Austin Rivers experiment at point guard fizzled out in his rookie year.

Burke is considered the top point guard prospect in this year's Draft after two dazzling years at Michigan, including a trip to this year's National Championship Game. He averaged 18.6 points per game and 6.7 assists per game while shooting 46.3 percent from the floor and 38.3 percent from beyond the arc. He is still developing as a playmaker and shooter, which bodes well for whatever team drafts him.

The Magic will begin trying to answer that question for themselves when he makes it to Orlando for a sit-down with the Magic staff.

Mobile App down

A bit of housecleaning from the site side.

The developers who operated the Bloguin app have unfortunately shut down and the app has not been updated since they shut down. Our friends over at Bloguin are working to get a new app up and running.

Just know that the best way to get Orlando Magic Daily on the go is by following us on Twitter (@OMagicDaily) or by accessing OrlandoMagicDaily.com using your mobile browser. I believe there have been upgrades made to the site for better mobile presentation.

I apologize for the confusion and sudden shut down for those that follow us using the Bloguin app. Thank you for your patience and thank you for reading!
