Bonnies still love Andrew Nicholson

From the moment Andrew Nicholson was drafted, St. Bonaventure fans have followed and jumped on the Magic bandwagon. Nicholson was one of the all-time greats at St. Bonaventure, averaging 17.1 points per game and 7.2 rebounds per game in his four-year career with the Bonnies.

He averaged a double double his junior and senior years and with the 19th pick in the draft became the first Bonnies player to reach the NBA since J.R. Bremer in 2004. He helped lead St. Bonaventure to the NCAA Tournament last season, where they lost to Florida State in the second round.

Nicholson's hard-working demeanor and attitude has already endeared him to Magic fans as much as St. Bonaventure fans. And so with the former physics major and St. Bonaventure grad playing on a national stage at the BBVA Rising Stars, the St. Bonaventure community came together to celebrate.

St. Bonaventure athletics put together this storify of Nicholson's evening:

Nicholson finished the evening with eight points, including several dunks and several nice post moves many of them against his teammate Nikola Vucevic. Hopefully it was a good experience for him and a fun weekend.
