Ronnie Price officially wearing No. 10

Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images/ZimbioThe Magic's official roster has been updated to reflect Ronnie Price's most important decision. Picking a jersey number.

Price will don the famed No. 10 jersey for the Magic. Most notably this helps us preview — or at least eliminate — one of the events for the Magic's Silver Anniversary Season. That would be the potential celebration for Darrell Armstrong, one of the Magic's most beloved players.

Price taking on the No. 10 jersey likely means Armstrong will not see his jersey hanging up from the Amway Center rafters this year. If that is even something the Magic are considering at this point. Retiring Armstrong's jersey is one that is even hotly debated among Magic fans as he was a beloved player but never an All Star or statistical leader for the Magic.

This might put to rest any thoughts of ending that debate this year, the franchise's 25th anniversary season.

Orlando is sure to have something special planned when Armstrong visits Orlando as an assistant coach with Dallas on Nov. 16.

The Magic certainly will have something special planned throughout the 25th Anniversary season this year. They have already unveiled a special anniversary logo that is plastered everywhere the media can see it and is more or less the official logo for the team throughout the year.

Many Magic fans anticipate the team to retire its first jersey (that is not symbolic at least) this year. Nick Anderson, Shaquille O'Neal and Anfernee Hardaway would be the candidates early on to see their jerseys go up. Of course, they could opt not to retire any jerseys. Hardaway's No. 1 is worn by Doron Lamb after all.

It should be an exciting year for the Magic nostalgically, if not on the floor where the team is expected to struggle once again.

The team announced Wednesday that Mariott Vacation Club will be the presenting sponsor for the 2013-14 season. So you will see their logo around a lot more this season. And so the 25th anniversary celebration seems set to begin.

And Ronnie Price will be wearing No. 10.
