Magic holding 25th Anniversary garage sale

As you have probably seen on other sites, the Magic are holding a 25th Anniversary Garage Sale at RDV Sportsplex on Saturday, September 14 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The event will feature a sale of autographed Magic memorabilia, game-worn items, Amway Orlando Arena collectibles, historic Magic gameday giveaways, Magic team and player photos and much more.

All the proceeds will benefit the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation. Magic community ambassadors Bo Outlaw and Nick Anderson will be there too.

This will be the first of many 25th anniversary events for the Magic. Many are expecting a lot of fun, nostalgic moments to come. This will be a good way to start. If a low-key one.

I do not know what items will be available for sale at the garage sale. I imagine the jerseys will be from your usual suspects from this year's team and last year's team. I have no idea what items remain from the O-Rena that were not already auctioned off.

The old team giveaways should be the most fun attic to raid. Who doesn't want a Hedo Turko-glue stick or a Darko Milicic fly swatter? There have been lots of good ones over the years.

The Magic certainly are opening up their repository of swag to the public and letting us share in the Magic joy. I, for one, am looking forward to seeing the collection.

Remember that is Saturday, Semptember 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at RDV Sportsplex. Go over to the side of the building (not the one with the Ice Den) where the Magic's old practice court was located.
