When it rains, it pours.
Late in Saturday's game against Milwaukee, J.J. Redick appeared to be favoring his shoulder as he went to the bench late in the game. Redick had to fight off Monta Ellis for most of the night but it appeared that his foray into the paint is what knicked him this time.
And it appears it got him a little bit harder than initially believed.
John Denton of Orlando Magic.com reports J.J. Redick, along with Jameer Nelson, Arron Afflalo and DeQuan Jones will be out for tonight's game.

Indeed, that is some bad news. The Magic are extremely short-handed with Glen Davis also out and Al Harrington probably not quite ready to return. Tonight's likely starting lineup will feature both Ish Smith and E'Twaun Moore in the backcourt. And that might be the extent of the team's guard depth.
Redick is certainly a prized possession right now for Orlando. The team does not want to risk him getting further injured and killing any trade value he might have. It is widely assumed that Redick will be traded so the Magic can get some value for him before he becomes a free agent this summer.
Any injury to Redick is bad news for this team both on that front and on the court. The Magic have enough to fight against.
Now it seems the 76ers are the least of their worries. The game still tips off at 7 p.m. no matter who is playing.
At least Maurice Harkless said he was OK after team trainers had to check to see if his nose was broken after Saturday's game.
