Glen Davis needs his PB&J

Raj Mehta/USA TodayGlen Davis did not have his best game Tuesday night in Detroit. The Magic's big man scored 11 points, but hit on just 4 of his 16 field goal attempts. Davis was particularly frustrated after the game, telling Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel among the assembled media that he played like garbage and he needs to do better.

For what it is worth, Jacque Vaughn said Davis' shot selection was not overly awful saying that some shots did not go in. Davis said he had only four ill-advised shots. It was an odd game for a lot of reasons.

The real reason Davis struggled so much? It might have been his pregame meal, or lack thereof.

The rookies apparently have the job of making Glen Davis' pregame peanut butter and jelly sandwich. They dropped the ball though before Tuesday's game as Davis confronted Andrew Nicholson and DeQuan Jones about it while Nicholson was giving an interview to Detroit media:

No, indeed, Glen Davis does not look sweet. Pineapple is still good for you, I guess.

The mistake from the rookie appears to have cost Nicholson $100. Rookie hazing is still alive, I guess.
