Fox Sports Florida official home for 2014 Magic

The Orlando Magic announced Friday that Fox Sports Florida will once again be the home for the Orlando Magic throughout the 2013-14 season.

Fox Sports Florida will broadcast 81 of the team's regular 82 season games and will also broadcast the Magic's preseason finale against the Pelicans on October 25. The only game not on Fox Sports Florida will be the Magic's Feb. 5 matchup against the Pistons which will air on ESPN.

This year's broadcast will have some changes as Jeff Turner takes over for Matt Guokas int he broadcast booth. Turner will join longtime Magic play-by-play broadcaster David Steele, who will be broadcasting the Magic for his 25th season. Fox Sports Florida will air a 30-minute pre and postgame Magic Live show that will feature Nick Anderson and Tony Battie. Former Magic coach Brian Hill will join the rotation of analysts as well for the first time this year. Paul Kennedy will host the show as he prepares for his 25th season behind the microphone on the Magic broadcast.


Dante Marchitelli and Jessica Blaylock also return to the broadcast team with Marchitelli doing sideline interviews and reporting and Blaylock operating the network's social media efforts during home games.

In addition, the Magic announced Fox Sports will produce six episodes of "Inside the Magic" focusing on the team's 25th Anniversary season. They will also air six Magic Classic Games this season.

The Classic Games was a feature Fox Sports put together during the lockout two years ago. They aired several games including the Magic's inaugural preseason game against the Pistons in 1989, the Magic's victory over the Bulls in that inaugural season and Game 6 of the 1995 Eastern Conference Semifinals when the Magic eliminated the Bulls from the Playoffs.
