Dwight Howard’s run since the trades has shown the NBA has no defense to the league’s best center.

–The drama between Richard Hamilton and Pistons coach John Kuester took another strange turn this weekend. Hamilton tells Perry A. Farrell of the Detroit Free Press he was offended with how Kuester used team security personnel to try and get a meeting with him rather than a coach. Hamilton declined that meeting and appears to still be on the bench. Jamie Samuelson of the Detroit Free Press suggests it is bordering on immaturity.

–The Magic were not much for fast breaking before the trades. After, they have been much better and as Eddy Rivera of Magic Basketball analyzes, it is typically a race to the 3-point line.

–Rohan Cruyff of introduces a new way to determine pace of play. The Magic will want to push the pace tonight against the Pistons, one of the slowest teams in the league.

Otis Smith took some time this weekend to answer some fans questions on He still plays things close to the vest.

–Stan Van Gundy liked a lot of what he saw in Saturday’s win in Houston. Especially Hedo Turkoglu and his aggression.

Hakeem Olajuwon too is not putting a ton of stock in his three-hour session with Dwight Howard over the summer. But he tells Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel he has seen tons of improvement from the Magic’s center.

Chris Wilcox has put his work in defensively to crack the Pistons rotation with Ben Wallace out with injury, Terry Foster of The Detroit News reports.

–With the help of the Magic, you can eat a lot of pizza this year.
