Video Vault:

–The Magic pulled off a major deal that would send Hedo Turkoglu, Gilbert Arenas and Jason Richardson to Orlando with Rashard Lewis, Vince Carter and Mickael Pietrus out of Orlando. Otis Smith said this morning he had talked with several teams and things were getting serious but perhaps not to the level of “imminence.”

–The Magic spent their three days off and two practices focusing on defense. These trades may increase that focus.

–This should be obvious, Brandon Bass will continue to start for Orlando.

Jason Williams is settling into his role (especially now that he is getting playing time) as the team’s third point guard.

–Not that this matters now, but Carmelo Anthony was Orlando’s top target before the trades went down, Brian Schmitz of The Orlando Sentinel reports and there were no discussions for Monta Ellis.
