With Adonal Foyle nursing an injured knee, backup forward Linton Johnson III will make the Orlando Magic’s opening night roster, Brian Schmitz reports. From Schmitz:
Johnson’s chances of making the team were remote until center Adonal Foyle underwent athroscopic surgery to repair his right knee.
Johnson, a six-year veteran who was not drafted coming out of Tulane in 2002, likely will remain with the club until Foyle returns.
I haven’t written much about Johnson much this preseason, as he’s played sparingly and done little while on the floor during gametime. In fact, I did feature Johnson once – on a story about constantly changing NBA cities, of all things.
For now, Johnson has a home. That could change when Foyle comes back.
