Mickael Pietrus: Kobe stopper (or at least container)

Mickael Pietrus scored 18 points in Game 3, including 10 in the fourth quarter and a game-clinching pair of free throws. With the way he’s defending Kobe Bryant, any offensive contributions count as extra credit. He’s defended Kobe better than anyone except Carmelo Anthony, who only spent a fourth of his time on Kobe. Pietrus is spending almost every minute he’s on the floor matched up with Kobe, and his length is bothering Bryant’s jump shot. I’ll keep this post short and let the stats do the talking.
