The Magic visit the Miami Heat tonight at 7. The Magic have beaten their in-state rivals (does anyone consider the Heat a rival?) in ten straight contests, and the Magic should come out firing after a frustrating loss to the Celtics. Not counting the season-opening losses to Atlanta and Memphis, the Magic have followed every loss with a victory this season. I see that trend continuing tonight. Here are some daily links: Dwight Howard officially finishes with the most all-star votes in league history. I’m just relieved he was able to hold off second-place Samuel Dalembert. The Palm Beach Post writes that the Orlando Magic “have the firepower to give the Miami Heat a handful.” You think so? Our friends at the Orlando Sentinel explain that the Magic aren’t down after Thursday’s loss to Boston. Stan Van Gundy isn’t too enthused about coaching in the all-star game, writes Brian Schmitz.
